About The Teacher
My name is Diana Wood, and I am excited to be your teacher this year! My husband of 15 years is Ken Wood, and we have 3 children, Isabella, Annie and Sam. I also have a dog named Daisy and 2 cats. My bachelor's degree is in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education, and I am currently working toward a master's degree in Instructional Leadership. After taking a break from teaching to be with my children while they were young, I am thrilled to be back in the classroom! This school year marks my 9th year of teaching and my third year at Capshaw!

Our class will work together as a family throughout the year. Each child is equally important in our class, and we will work cooperatively to make decisions and solve problems together. It is crucial for every child to be responsible for themselves as a good student and citizen in the class. We will strive for academic excellence as well as a positive self-concept.
