Can I bring treats in for my child's birthday?
Yes. We love to celebrate birthdays! If you would just send or bring the items to the room, we will
celebrate your child's special day sometime during the day.
Can I eat lunch with my child?
Yes. We request that you limit your visits to once a month due to the amount of children that Capshaw
is serving this year. Also, please do not bring any restaurant food into the cafeteria for your child to eat.
What are Monday folders?
Monday folders are sent home each Monday with papers that your child has done the week before.
Please go over the papers in the folder and praise their effort! If there is a paper that has a grade of
N or U, please sign it , and return it the next day. It will give you the opportunity to help your child
with any skill that they are having trouble with.
Will my child have homework every night?
Your child will have a Math sheet every night. You will need to check over it, sign it, and return it the
next day. Also, your child will need to study their spelling words every night, and read their Reading
story each night.
What do I do if my child is absent?
If you will call the office, I will try to have your child's make-up work in the office by 3:00 p.m. so you
can pick it up. Also, please send a note explaining the reason for your child's absence, so I can send it
to the office. If a note is not sent, then the absence is unexcused.
