A WORD FROM MS. THURMAN:
We had a Fabulous Halloween Party! It was "Spook tacular"
A big thank-you goes out to Mrs. Norman for organizing and
putting our party together. Thanks to all the parents
who sent in items for our party as well as helping with the party.
I have the best parents in second grade!!!
Please return report cards by Friday of this week.
This is our last week of swim lessons at the YMCA. We have had so much fun!
The children have really enjoyed it. They are learning a lot as well.
This week we will swim from 10:30-11:30 on Wed. and Fri.
My class has done an excellent job of bringing everything they need for
swimming. Go Mrs. Thurman's class!!!
Please pack and send the following with your child:
a change of underwear
a towel
a brush or comb (optional)
*Please label all clothes and towels
*You may send clothes in a small duffle bag or plastic bag
* no hair dryers, shampoo, hair gel etc.
Fireman Bruce Womack came and talked to the students on Friday about fire safety.
Ask your child to tell you some things that he talked to them about. I even learned
something that I didn't know! I guess you are never too old to learn!
Two important items discussed were: have working smoke alarms, have a
designated meeting place away from the house in case of a fire.
There are many more important facts....just ask your child!
