When does my child get to bring home their artwork?

Your child will bring home their artwork twice a year. The first
time is right after Christmas and the
second is at the end of the year. I will keep some of their work
to put it in the artshow.

What is my child learning in art this year?

This year we are studying Multiculturalism. Basically art from
all around the world. We are going to take a look at each
continent and learn about the customs and traditions of the
people and they type of artwork they created. Then students will
experience creating that artwork but putting their own
personality into it and making it their own. Some examples are
students will study Native American art and they will make
buffalo robes and pottery. They will study Asian art and create
Kimonos and Chinese lanterns. They will study the Aboriginees
from Australia and creat dot painting.

How is my child graded?

Students in grades K-5th are graded by using E, S, N and U's.
Grades 6th-8th are A, B, C and D. I have broken the grades in to
two halfs. 50% of their grade is based on their attitute and
behavior. The other 50% of their grade is
based on their effort.
