Congratulations to Joshua Barba Perez for being named December's Artist of the Month!! Joshua does such a fantastic job on his art projects. He always works really hard and takes his time. I'm really proud of him. In this project Joshua's name was writen in cursive. Then he traced it to make a mirrored image of his name. Next he created an alien in outer space then used color pencils to color it in.

In this artwork Joshua created what is called radial symmetry. He cut out a circle, folded it several different ways and drew a simple design on one part of the folded paper. Then he traced it multiple times to make it a complete pattern. He then used markers to color it in. Way to go Joshua! It looks GREAT!

In this artwork Joshua traced his hands several times and colored them in using markers. Then he drew parallel lines in his background and colored every other one black.
