About The Teacher

Hello everyone!  I am so glad that you are visiting my web site!  

I graduated from Smith County High School in 1996, and graduated college 
from Tennessee Tech University in the year 2000.  I went on to receive my 
Master's Degree in 2001, then completed an Educational Specialist Degree in 
2007.  I have been teaching for 8
years now.  My first year of teaching was at Trousdale County Elementary 
School and I taught 2nd grade.  I have been at Carthage Elementary in 1st 
grade ever since.  I was elected Smith County Pre-K through 4 Teacher of the 
Year in the year 2008.  I am the daughter of Benny and Matilda Graves of the 
Defeated community, and the sister to Andy Graves.

I am married to Todd Currie, who works in Physical Therapy and is a 
volunteer fireman.  We have one little boy who is almost 2, and a dog.
