Plans are subject to change at teachers discretion.
We will be taking the 1st Nine Weeks Test's this week. Please be sure to
study the study guides and flash cards with your child!
Tuesday is the Reading test.
Thursday is the English test.
READING~ We will continue our reading of "My Louisiana Sky" this week. The
students are working in thier "My Louisiana Sky" booklet that we made in
class a few weeks ago. They are taking notes and writing down the
characters, setting, plot, and figuritive language that we are finding in
our novel. Please ask your child to show you this booklet and go over the
material with them at home.
**As our reading and study of My Louisiana Sky continues, I have brought to
the students' attention that we will come upon topics such as love,
segregation, child neglect, and death. These are of course, daily life
situations which we all may face or deal with in some fashion. Please be
available to ask your child about this wonderful study as we continue our
discussion over the next few weeks.**
Journal Entries~ We are writing in our journals or try to on a daily basis.
The students are extremely creative and seem to enjoy the writing prompts.
Thank you sooooooooo much for all that you do with your child at home! It
