Week of December 7, 2009
Our class had a great time at
the Winter Carnival. We appreciate all the donations for our toy drive. Also
a huge thanks to the parent volunteers that helped organize the carnival!!
The children love their
stockings and are excited about all the treats they have so far!! Thank you for
all the wonderful things you've sent. We will continue to fill the stockings
with items until they are sent home on the 18th.

When reading with your
child ask them the BIG FIVE QUESTIONS.......
1. Who is the story about?
(characters)
2. Where does the story
take place? (setting)
3. What is the problem in
the story?
4. How is the problem
solved?
5. What happens at the
very end of the story?
They answer these five
questions every day when reading stories. This is a good way to practice comprehension.
