The countdown to Christmas Break has begun!
Things that you need to know:

Canned Food Drive is going on until December 7. Winning class gets a pizza
party.

Silly String the Teacher/Administrator is a $5 donation. All the money
collected will go to the toy drive.
We are excepting things to go in our stockings! We have 8 girls and 11 boys!
Reading:
I
can identify all short vowels.
I
can use all short vowels to make words.
I
can read a story and retell it in my own words.
I
can find context clues in a story.
Math:
I can write
numbers to 100 correctly.
I can count dimes
and pennies.
I can use a
ten/ones chart to count money.
I can do 30
3+4/5+4 problems in 1 minute or less.
I can identify
the greater and lesser number.
I can analyze a
number and determine tens and ones place value.
I
can work an addition word problem.
Wow!
Way to go!
This
week we are working on word problems and doubles facts 0+0, 1+1, 2+2, 3+3,
4+4, 5+5 and 3+4!!!
We are going to continue the timing
strips they must do the strip in a minute to get the sticker on the chart and
it has to be a 100% mastery!!!
Science:
I can
explain the difference between a conifer tree and a palm tree!
If you want to help a child get
ahead in life...it is not the time you spend on the sports field it is the
time you spend reading them a book!
To make a reader you need three
ingredients!
1. A child
2. A book
3. A little time!
Read every night to your children or let
them read to you... they are never to old to start!
