My name is Ms. Emily and I will be your child's teacher for the
2011-2012 school year. I graduated in December 2007 from Tennessee Tech
University with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Early
Childhood Special Education. I am very excited to begin my fourth full year

The purpose of the PreK Program is to provide an educational experience
that will support our students in becoming the best they can be. The staff
at Celina K-8 PreK will support the child in building social, cognitive,
language and motor skills, using developmentally appropriate practices.
Working with the families, the staff at Celina K-8 PreK will strive to
prepare each child with a positive outlook on life and learning and a
feeling of competence and success.
This program will serve four-year olds, in a full day program, Monday
through Friday. The school day will begin at 7:30 and end at 3:00. Meals
will be provided in the Celina K-8 Cafeteria. Children may be served by the
Free and Reduced Meal Plan. The PreK program is open to all four-year olds,
but children with disabilities or low income will receive priority
placement. An on-site nurse is available, part-time. Parents will be
contacted in the event that medical treatment becomes necessary.
