First Priority

Welcome to the First Priority Club Page!
Next Meeting for 2010 will be January 11.
We are trying some new ideas to structure our meetings. We think you will like it.
We are ministering to various groups within the school. This Thursday we will be providing sweets for the basketball team and cheerleaders. If you can send something, email me.We are working on Operation Christmas Child.  Each class will have a large box to collect items in or to put already filled shoeboxes in. First Priority members will come around once a week and collect items.

What is First Priority Club?
It is a time for students to gather to share their faith with friends, learn
more about God, the Christian life, prayer, worship and praise, and minister
to others through projects like Operation Christmas Child and the Mathathon.
Our prayer is that students will be encouraged in their Christian walk and
equipted to share the gospel with those around them.
Who can join?
Anyone who has a signed permission slip. (You can get one from me)
What can I expect?
Well... that all depends. We try to always have a time of prayer, a
Christian life challenge, and praise and worship. We also have work sessions
sometimes. We even have food at other times. Just come and see what it's all
about.
Many parents wonder about doctrine. I don't mind to give you my background.
I was saved at the age of 6 in a Freewill Baptist Church. My parents started
attending an Independent Baptist Church when I was around the age of 8. As
an adult, my husband and I have been a part of the Southern Baptist family
since 2002. My view is that as long as anyone who stands before our kids
believes that Jesus Christ is the way to heaven and will share that, the
rest is just details.
Our guests speakers may be from other denominations even from professions.
The key here is that we believe that it's all about Christ, who he is, what
he did, and that it's not about us!!!!!
I would be happy to talk with you, if you have concerns or questions.
However, I will not get into a debate or argument about doctrine. We are
privileged to have the liberty to meet afterschool, and it is important that
we exercise this right. I appreciate our school allowing us to include a
Christian-based club as part of the many activities offered at CDMS.

I love you guys, but Jesus loves you most!
