About The Teacher

Greetings!
My name is Diann Musgrove. I have been teaching for eight years in Greene
County. I have taught all subjects except Math in sixth grade. This is my
second year to teach 8th grade science. I am fortunate to work with such
wonderful colleagues as those on the eighth grade team.
I am a 2002 honors graduate from ETSU. In 2008, I graduated with a Masters
degree in K-12 Education from Tusculum, and just finished my EdS in
Administration from Lincoln Memorial University. I will graduate from Lincoln
in December. Who knows where this will lead me, but for now my joy is in the
classroom.
My husband, David, and I will celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary this
February. We have two sons, Adam and Matt. Adam is a junior at ETSU working
on a double major in History and Criminal Justice and Matt is a sophomore at
CDHS.
I have two Tabby-Maine Coon cats named Coffee and Cream, both of which I
adore! If you are in my class you will hear about these furry friends.
In my spare time, (if I ever have any) I enjoying reading Max Lacado books,
swimming, camping, and singing in my church choir.
My favorite day of the week is Sunday.
I truly enjoy coming to school and teaching everyday. Science can be
interesting and fun. I want my students to be challenged, work hard, and
learn. It will mean more to you if you work for it. I enjoy working with
young people both at CDMS and at my church. Maybe they keep me young at
heart. If you need to contact me, please email or call the school office to
leave a message. Email is quicker.
My rules are simple, come to class with all your stuff, show effort and
respect, ask questions, and do your work. I will go over the detailed stuff
the first few days of class.

Mission For The Class

My mission for my students is to be challenged as they learn and have fun
doing it.
More importantly, I hope they know they are loved and that they matter to
someone.
