Reading ListStudents are expected to have copies of these books by the first day of the grading period in which we read them.
AP Language:
We will use How to Read Literature Like A Professor by Thomas Foster and Fiske Word Power by Edward Fiske the entire year.
1st Nine Weeks: Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice plus one choice from the AP Literature list.
2nd Nine Weeks: The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald and The Crucible ( in the textbook) by Arthur Miller plus one choice from the AP Literature list.
3rd Nine Weeks: Alias Grace by Margaret Atwood and The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne plus one choice from the AP Literature list. I have 50 copies of The Scarlet Letter that I will loan.
4th Nine Weeks: Native Son by Richard Wright plus one choice from the AP Literature list.
