Summer Reading for10 th grade Pre-AP: All Pre-AP students are required to read a novel of their choice that has been published in the last two years plus two more from the list below. Students are required to bring a copy of their novel of choice to class the first day of school and be prepared to present it to the class in an informal manner. 1.The Kit eRunner by Khaled Hosseini (This books contains violence and sexual content.) 2.Anthem byAyn Rand 3.The Handmaid'sTale by Margaret Atwood (This books contains violence and sexual content.) 4.The Once and Future Kingby T. H. White 5.Brave NewWorld by Aldous Huxley I would like for all students to read The Kite Runner. We will use it as a basis for several class discussions, and it has appeared on the AP Literature Exam, as have all of the books I have listed. Because of the content of the novel, it is not required.
