--AMERICAN LEGION ORATORICAL SCHOLARSHIP--9th - 12th grader may enter
District Contest. US citizen or lawful perm. resident, enrolled in school,
under age 20. Studetn prepares oration (not less than 8 minutes or more than
10)on some phase of the US Constitution which gives attendant duties and
obligations of a citizen to our government. Student contestant's name must be
certified by Jan. 13, 2010.

--COCA-COLA SCHOLARS -- Specific eligibility criteria provided on website.
Seniors who have demonstrated leadership in school, commitment to community,

--ELKS MOST VALUABLE STUDENT--application available online at www.elks.org .
Scholarship is awarded to senior based on scholarship, leadership and
financial need. Application may be filled out on-line and then printed.
Guidance office deadline is October 30, 2009.

and turned in to Guidance Office by January 8. Must be enrolling in a nursing

--HAVE IT YOUR WAY (Burger King Scholars Foundation)--Students must maintain
a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher; work part-time a minimum of 10 hrs per
week; actively involved in community service; demonstrate financial need;
plan to enroll in an accredited 2 or 4-yr college or tech school by Fall 2010.

overcome great obstacles, intent on attending college, possible service-to-

--JACK DILLER EDUCATION AWARD -- collegebound senior who has excelled
academically and athletically and has shown leadership in both and has been
involved in community service. School faculty nominates 2 males and 2

--KFC SCHOLARS -- Apply online at www.kfcscholars.org . Senior with 2.75 GPA,
enrolling in a public, in-state college or university pursuing bachelor's
degree, US citizen or perm. resident. Deadline February 10, 2010. Financial
need may be verified via FAFSA results.
--MTSU NAT'L MERIT/ACHIEVEMENT,CHANCELLOR (32 ACT and 3.75 GPA), PRESIDENTIAL
(ACT=29 & 3.75), ACADEMIC SERVICE (ACT=27 and 3.75 GPA and to RANKED 1 AND 2
with ACT=23), PROVOST (ACT=26 & GPA=3.75) SCHOLARSHIPS. Apply by Dec. 1, 2009
