University of Alabama Early College
Program provides valuable educational experiences in all facets
of veterinary medicine ending in participating students' working
in their hometown for 6 weeks and spending one week in Knoxville
as guests of the veterinary college. To apply, a student must:
1)be high school junior or senior and APPLY BY MARCH 15, 2014;
2)be TN resident and at least 16 yrs. of age by June 3, 2014;
3)have 3.0 cumulative GPA;
4)Be available for full time employment (40 hrs./wk) between 6-3
through 7-19, 2013 and be a first-time participant.
2014 Veterinary Summer Experience Program -- UTK
PreVU includes a fair of campus organizations, an academic panel
hosted by deans from our four undergraduate schools, separate
admissions and financial aid sessions for parents and students, a
campus tour led by a current student, lunch at The Martha Rivers

Black and Gold Days is a half-day visit program for high school
freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Over the course of the day,
visitors will attend sessions on preparing for college, selective
admissions, and the financial aid process. They will also
participate in a panel discussion with faculty and current
students, and take a student-led walking tour of Vanderbilt's 330-

ACT Test-prep classes are fast-paced and cover the five areas of
the ACT test in addition to test-taking strategies. Each student

ACT Test Prep Classes Fall/Spring
The United States House of Representatives host a nationwide high
school art competition. The contest is open to all high school
students (grades nine through twelve). The winner in each
congressional district will receive two airfare tickets to attend
a reception in Washington, D.C. in late June and see their
artwork displayed in the Cannon Tunnel of the United States
Capitol. Also, the student who is selected as the district first
place winner of the 2013 Congressional Art Competition who
applies, is accepted to, and enrolls at the Savannah College of
Art and Design may be eligible to receive an artistic scholarship
of at least $3000 if they meet or exceed admission requirements.
2014 Congressional Art Competition
The TCAT Accelereated Summer CNA Program is designed to allow you
to experience the career field of nursing before you start your
college or vocational training. The course allows you to
graduate in early August, leaving you plenty of time to start
college or other training that Fall. It also provides you hands
on experience in the nursing field allowing you to make an
informed decision about further training in the medical field. To
apply a student must:
1) An ACT Composite score of 16 or higher.
2) Attend the Class Orientation scheduled for one evening the 2nd
week of May.
3) Class starts June 12 & graduated August 9, 2013.
4) There will be NO classes the week of July 4th.
5) Class is at the TTC in Shelbyville Mondays, Wednesdays and
Fridays from 7:45 a.m. until 2:15 p.m.
6) Because of the accelerated class schedule absences must be
held to a minimum.
7) Tuition is $400, books approximately $85 and other supplies
and clothing are approximately $250.
8) State Licensing Exam $90 at the end of the course.

TCAT(CNA) Nurse Aide Accelerated Summer Program
On Saturday October 26, 2013, Columbia State Community College
will host the GiRLS-2013 (Girls Really Love Science) Workshop at
the Columbia campus. For all teachers of and female students
grades 6-8, the event will be held from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.

GiRLS- 2013 (Girls Really Love Science) Workshop
MASH is a two- week summer health careers camp for high school
junior and seniors interested in learning about health
prfessions. The students interact with health care experts, such
as physicians,nurses, medical technologists, radiologic
technologists, dietitians, respiratory therapists and
pharmacists. During the program, students learn basic CPR,
casting and suturing, learn about physical assessment, medical
terminology, and much, much more. Exposure to different areas of
medicine and health related professions is an integral part of
the MASH experience.

school students interested in the music industry and live in the

Reading Skills and Speed Reading Programs
Learning Entrepreneurship and Achieving Dreams in Tennessee Camp
to be held at Martin Methodist College, June 2-5, 2014.
Candidates for this program must be recommended by a
community leader and be a high school sophomore, junior or
senior during the 2013-2014 school year. This is a residential
camp and is limited to 30 participants. Specific camp goals
include: gaining understanding of entrepreneurship as a viable
career option, generating business ideas, meeting and learning
successful entrepreneurs, helping youths learn about their
community, and developing leadership abilities and skills,
identifying and evaluating entrepreneurial opportunities in TN,
learning how technology can be used in small businesses.
2014 Martin Methodist College Youth Entrepreneurship Camp- L.E.A.D. TN
Earn three hours of transferable college credit through Lipscomb
University's ten day residential Summer Scholars program. Choose
from a variety of course options that emphasize experiential
learning and personal interaction with professoers. We will
challenge you academically and make sure you have some fun in
Nashville too. All rising seniors(class of 2015) who have scored
a 24 or above on the ACT or 1090 or above on the SAT are
encouraged to apply. Accepted students will receive a one-time
schoarship and full admission to Lipscomb. Space is limited, and
all applications must be received by May 15.
Lipscomb University Summer Scholars 2015
This course will provide students with a high level understanding
of the manufacturing process required to bring a new vehicle to
the market. Topics that will be covered include manufacturing
and quality engineering. Course Duration- May 31- June 21 on
Saturdays from 9 a.m.- 12:30 p.m.. Students who are currently in
10th or 11th grade and interested in Engineering. Application

The Veterinary Summer Experience Program seeks to provide
worthwhile opportunities for high school students interested in
veterinary medicine while simultaneously generating a pool of
