I believe that literacy is essential to the academic success of all students.
The ability to read widely, think critically and strategically communicate is
indispensable. My aim is to promote a life long love of reading and learning.
I will accomplish this by doing the following:
1. Using researched based best practices
2. Modeling reading strategies
3. Provide time for purposeful reading
4. Provide opportunities to promote creative literacy discussions
5. Use on-going varied assessments tools and differentiated
instructions
6. Foster home and school literacy partnerships
