REMEMBER: If you would like a Scholastic holiday book order form, please
email me or write a note in the planner. There are some great Christmas books
included. I'll send the order form home in an envelope. I need the orders
plus money by the day we get out for Thanksgiving.
I've asked Kristi Phillips, my room mom, to fix a cute little Thanksgiving
snack/treat for next Monday afternoon. If you are interested in helping her,
please call her at 413-8504. Thank you!
*****Tomorrow Tuesday, November 17, from 3:30 until 6:00 Yates will be
providing a wonderful opportunity for you and your child to participate in a
service project called CARDS FOR HEROES. Materials will be supplied for you
to make cards that will be sent to the military for their use! I know from
having a soldier son that he NEVER has a card when he'd like to send one back
home. Since this is during the same time that the SuccessMaker computer lab
is available, why not "kill two birds with one stone," and allow your child
to work in the lab for 30-40 minutes--if possible. I HOPE TO SEE YOU TUESDAY

DAIRY QUEEN SCHOOL SPIRIT NIGHT IS THIS THURSDAY! WE HOPE TO WIN AGAIN!
PLEASE MAKE EFFORTS TO GET YOUR CHILD TO ONE OF THE AFTER SCHOOL SUCCESSMAKER
COMPUTER LABS. THESE ARE ON MONDAYS AND TUESDAYS FROM 3:30 UNTIL 7:00. 30-40
MINUTES WOULD BE MOST HELPFUL FOR YOUR CHILD.
Mark December 10th on your calendars for our Christmas program--7:00 p.m.
Thursday, December 17, will be our next field trip. We'll be going shopping
at The Dollar Tree and then to Cici's Pizza for lunch. Afterwards we'll come
back to the school for gift wrapping and a snack. This will conclude our
study on money! I'll need 7 parent helpers! (I haven't told the kids about
this yet.)
