Notes from Mrs. Shelton:
•This week and next, I will be assessing the students on many reading and
math skills. Report cards will be issued after Christmas break.
•I trust everyone got a letter from Kim Jones & Kristi Estes about the
Christmas party. Thank you for the $5 to off-set costs of this event. I
really appreciate it.
•Our field trip is this Wednesday to the IMAX. Please be sure to send in a
canned good so we can donate it to the food bank that day.
•Several children have told me that their parents don’t want them to go
outside to play. I am alone with the children during this time of day, and
there is no where for them to stay. I take them outside if it's over 40
degrees. I encourage you to send them with mittens, a toboggan and a heavy
coat. If your child is this sick, you may need to consider if they are well
enought to be at a school or if you should be keeping them home. Thanks!

Thought for the week:
The magic of Christmas can only be seen through the eyes of a child.
