gifted students. There is a wider range of opportunities available once your
student enters high school.

NSGT Scholarships
-"NSGT™ scholarships are awarded to NSGT™ members to support their academic,
intellectual, and cognitive development."

"The Caroline D. Bradley Scholarship identifies exceptionally gifted middle
school students who have demonstrated academic and personal excellence and
awards them with a scholarship to the high school that best meets their
academic and personal needs."

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
-"The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation’s scholarships are designed to encourage and
support outstanding students from 7th grade through graduate school who have
a breadth of interests, work hard, demonstrate a strong will to succeed, and
have financial need."
-Students who are currently in the 7th grade may apply during their Spring
semester. This year's applications are due April 27, 2009.

NAGC-TAG Nicholas Green Distinguished Student Award
-To be eligible, the student must meet the following criteria
"1. Students must be in either grade 3, 4, 5, or 6 during the 2008-2009
school year.
2. Outstanding student accomplishment must be demonstrated in one or more of
the following areas: academic achievement, leadership, or visual or
performing arts."
-"This national award includes an NAGC Certificate of Excellence, a $500 U.S.
Savings Bond, and recognition at the TAG Conference in Memphis in the fall of
2009."
-students will have to submit a written composition as well as a letter of
recommendation with the application
