GENERAL RULES
1. All School Rules Apply(see your student handbook).
2. Come to class PREPARED. Each day you should have your Geography
    Notebook, pen or pencil; and textbook(unless told otherwise). On 
    class days when we color maps, bring your colored pencils.
3. Show Respect for others and yourself.
4. Violation of School Rules will be disciplined.

EACH GRADING PERIOD
25% of grade from in-class or homework assignments
25% of grade from tests
25% of grade from Notebook* for that grading period
25% of grade from Project.
        *FAILURE TO DO A NOTEBOOK OR PROJECT,
         MAKES IF VERY DIFFICULT TO PASS THAT GRADING PERIOD.

GRADING SCALE
93-100 =A
85-92 = B
80-87 = C
70-79 = D
BELOW 70 = F

1st Grading Period:  Introduction (1-2 days)
Physical & Cultural Geography(1.5 weeks)Maps,Globes,graphic tools

United States & Canada (1.5 weeks)*culture,places and regions
Project: U.S. State 
Tourism "commercials"(1-2 days)
Mexico & Central America (1 week)*culture,places and regions
2nd Grading Period: South America (1 week)*culture,places & regions
Western & Eastern Europe (2 weeks)*culture,places & regions
Project: World Globes(2-3 days)
Russia & Neighbors (1 week)*culture,places and regions
3rd Grading Period:  Middle East (1.5 weeks)*culture,places and 
regions
Project: Flags of the Middle East*role of religious belief in area
Asia:South, East, and Southeast Asia(2.5 weeks)*culture,places®ions
4th Grading Period:Sub Saharan Africa(2 weeks)*culture,places®ions
Australia and New Zealand(3-4 days)*culture,places & regions
Project: Semester Presentations& Papers(3 days)
Final: Review and Exam( 1 week)

*Culture,Places & Regions will also cover such performance indicators
as history,government,population,government,ethnicity and belief 
systems and how they interact in that particular part of the world.
