When do the red Parent Communication folders need to be signed?

The Yellow folders need to be signed each Tuesday for "Take Home
Tuesdays" (graded papers). Parents will initial by the
appropriate week. The folders will be sent home each night
and returned the next day. The right hand side of the folder is
for parent-teacher communications: special permission slips,
notes, etc. The pocket on the left-hand side is for things that
should be "left" at home; such as: graded papers, etc.

If your child is absent please send a signed and dated note
explaining the absence (even if you called the school on the day

Why are the basic multiplication facts so important in 4th grade?

As students enter the fourth grade, just about every
"new" adventure we encounter in math will involve
multiplication. Students will be multiplying
in word problems, graphing, ratios & probability, fractions,
measurement, geometry, and more! Plus, in order to learn
division, we must first master multiplication. Students should
work on the the facts DAILY until they are completely mastered.
