Hi! Welcome to my class. This will be my 5th year teaching at Dyer Jr.
High. I teach 6th, 7th and 8th grade Science. My first year here, I was
voted DJHS Faculty Homecoming Queen! What an honor!! I have always wanted
to be a queen!! A couple of years ago I was also the "Teacher of the Year!"
I went to high school in Harrisburg, IL. I then attended Southeastern
Illinois College on a music scholarship/ambassador scholarship in
Harrisburg, IL where I graduated with my Associate's Degree. I then
transferred to Murray State University in Murray, KY. I graduated from
Murray in 2003 with my Bachelor of Science Degree in middle school
education. I then accepted a job in Munford, TN to teach 8th grade Science
and also coach their middle school cheerleaders. I met Brandon while living
in Munford. We got married on July 16, 2005. After we married, we moved to
Humboldt, TN. On May 23, 2006 we welcomed Tanner Heath Thomas into the
world and our lives have never been the same!! :-) He is now 3 and is so
much fun! I love to watch him play and run and eat and play and run and eat
and play some more!! He seems to never-ever get tired!! Tanner loves Barney
movies, Mickey Mouse, trains, trucks and tractors. We are also expecting our
2nd child in February. Tanner will be a great big brother!
While not in school I love to read!! My favorite authors are James
Patterson, Patricia Cornwell and Tami Hoag. I have also started reading
Jonathan Kellerman. I also love to watch TV! American Idol, The
Bachelorette, Grey's Anatomy, Brothers & Sisters, Desperate Housewives, are
just a few to name....there are many, many more!!
