     - Begin rough draft of C&C essay
     - Complete C&C Essay
1/11 - Peer edit of C&C rough draft
     - Edit, revise, correct, and polish C&C essay - due at the start of 
     class on Monday, typed and double-spaced

Week Two
Daily Journals
1/14 - C&C Essay final draft due
     - Begin reading Raisin in the Sun, red EoL, in class
1/15 - Continue Act I
1/16 - Complete Act I of Raisin; answer questions 1-10 on p. 834
1/17 - View Act I
     - What makes the movie better?  Prove it.  What makes the scripted play 
     better?  Prove it.  Due today.
1/18 - Begin reading Act II of the play

Week Three
Daily Journals
1/22 - Continue Act II
     - Homework - Practice TCAP persuasive essay topic #1 
     - take no more than 35 minutes to write this!
1/23 - 10 Journals due today
     - Discuss TCAP rubric
     - Peer edit practice essays and turn them in
     - Answer #1-12 for Act II of the play and turn them in.
1/24 - Practice TCAP persuasive essay topic #2
1/25 - View Act II of Raisin

Week Four
Daily Journals
1-28 - Complete Act III
     - Homework - Rewrite ONE paragraph of your C&C paper
1-29 - Answer Act III Questions #1-10, red EoL, pp. 865-866
     - Homework - take no MORE than 35 minutes to write Practice TCAP esay 
     topic #2 - due at start of class Wednesday
1-30 - View Act III of Raisin
1-31 - Practice TCAP #3 in class - peer evaluation and discussion
2-1  - Greek Morphemes set #8
     - Homework: Practice TCAP #4
