CURRENT PROJECTS
AP and Honors English IV:  Presenting a Character from the Canterbury Tales Prologue
1.  Research your character thoroughly, both in the main text during class time, and using online or other resources outside of class.
2.  Present the character on Wednesday, November 11 during our extended class period.  Be prepared to teach the class about his or her appearance, station in society, and personality.  Also discuss their clothing, and what it demonstrates about their station and profession.  You will receive a BIG BONUS for bringing in a costume to use ONLY during class (not out of SSA any other time of day, and only in my room!)  to show the character’s look.

Drama I: Everyman Costume Designs, due November 20
1.  Read the play in class, taking notes on EIGHT of the characters (any eight; you choose which ones).
2.  Select SIX characters and design costumes for them.  Keep all costumes in the same time period or with the same "feel."  Draw and color these costumes, and arrange them on a posterboard or large sheet of paper.
3.  WRITE 1/2 page for each costume design, explaining the choices you made for colors and styles, and how they reflect the characters.  You MUST attach this explanation to your presentation posterboard/sheet of paper so that we can read it at the same time as we look at the costumes.
4.  You will present your designs to the class during the week of November 23.

Advanced Drama: Fall Play, I Just Wanna Tell Somebody
Performances are Thursday and Friday, November 12 and 13, starting at 7:00 p.m.   Tickets go on sale November 9, for $3 in advance and %4 at the door.  SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMANCE Thursday night from the PG-13 Players!

FORENSICS TEAM
Our team placed 4th in both Congress Events this fall, and 3rd in Speech Events.  Our first Debate is coming up on November 19 at Antioch.  If you'd like to judge, please email Ms. Szklany-Brown! (No experience necessary!)

PROGRESS REPORTS will be issued on November 18.  My students will have one week to make up any missing work.
