There are many things to do in a city: places to visit, concerts to attend, 
sports to play.

In this unit, the students will learn …
• to describe your city, its public buildings, and places of interest
• to ask for and give directions
• to talk about the various places you go to during the week and on weekends
• to describe your house or apartment

They will also be able …
• to discuss your future plans and say what you aregoing to do
• to talk about your friends and their families

Unité 4 – Leçons 9-12

Themes and Objectives:
People and possessions
When you meet French teenagers, you will want to share information about 
yourself, your friends,and your possessions.

In this unit, they students will learn …
• to talk about themselves: their personality and what they look like
• to describe their friends and how old they are
• to describe their room
• to talk about everyday objects that they own or use
• to describe these objects: their size and color

Following this unit, the students will learn	
- animals and their language
- about scooters and mobylettes
- how to read and write a letter describing themselves

Assessment
• oral participation
• daily work activities
• quiz on on-going material
• homework
• test



Note: This syllabus can be modified at Mme Jordan’s discretion.
