About The Teacher
In 2009-2010, my third year at ELMS, I will teach freshman English and Senior Thesis. I look forward to getting to know my students and share in their excitement at both starting high school and looking toward graduation. Together, we'll work hard to read, write, and communicate in ways to prepare us for successful and fulfilling futures. It also is my privilege to serve as our school's National Honor Society advisor. I grew up in Winter Park, Florida, and went to college at Texas Christian University. After a couple years as a journalist and several more in the field of public relations, I felt a calling to work with teenagers, so I went back to school (TSU) to pursue a graduate degree in education. I love my job and feel grateful to teach at a school like ELMS. My son starts kindergarten this fall, and I have a daughter, age 2. My husband is a Nashville native and we sing in our church choir together. I welcome your questions and ideas. This will be a great year!
