Why does my child have the same teacher all day?
At East Literature Middle School, there are two teachers in both the 5th and
6th grade that teach every subject. The reason why this occurs is because
there are not enough students to make three two-person teams.

What is your make-up work policy?
If a child is absent, it is their responsibility to find out what
assignments were missed. I keep an absent folder in my room where handouts
are kept. Students can also check this website, as I list their daily
homework and classwork assignments. A child must turn in their missing work
in a reasonable time period. If they are absent the day that a test was
given, they will take that test on the day they return.

How do I check my child's grades on mygradebook.com?
You will need my classwords and the last four digits of your child's social
security number to access grades. My classwords are as follows:
Math - MGreenfield1
Science - MGreenfield2
Lang. Arts - MGreenfield3
Reading - MGreenfield4
Social Studies - MGreenfield5

What types of books should my child read for their reading record?
I am not particular about what types of books your child should read. It is
important that they read a variety of print sources including, but not
limited to, novels, newspapers, magazines, comic books, poetry, short
stories, non-fiction, etc. You may also read to your child.
