I am originally from Huntsville, Alabama. I moved to Nashville, Tennessee
where I attended Fisk University. I majored in English and received my
teacher's certification. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fisk University in
May, 2006. Also I received my masters in Education focusing on
Administration and Supervision in 2008 at Tennessee State University where I
am currently working on my doctorate. This is my fourth year in the
classroom and I am very excited! I am looking forward to an exciting and
wonderful academic year!
My mission for all of my classes is that they will master the fundamental
academic skills as well as develop an appreciation for the spoken and
written English language and history of the African-American race. Students
will review, reinforce, and learn new skills that are based on the mandated
Reading and Writing Standards of the Metropolitan Public Schools Curriculum
which emphasizes literature, writing, grammar, and vocabulary study.
