About The Teacher

I am originally from Huntsville, Alabama. I moved to Nashville, Tennessee 
where I attended Fisk University. I majored in English and received my 
teacher's certification. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Fisk University in 
May, 2006. I am currently working on my masters in Higher Education 
Administration at Tennessee State University. This is my second year in the 
classroom and I am very excited! I am looking forward to an exciting and 
wonderful academic year!

Mission For The Class

My mission for all of my classes is that they will master the fundamental 
academic skills as well as develop an appreciation for the spoken and 
written English language. Students will review, reinforce, and learn new 
skills that are based on the mandated Reading and Writing Standards of the 
Metropolitan Public Schools Curriculum which emphasizes literature, writing, 
grammar, and vocabulary study.
