About The Teacher
I was born in Lebanon, Tennessee to Robert and Jean Taylor and am the second of three children. I have lived in Chattanooga since May of 2004. My husband's name is Brian, and my two daughters are Tabitha and Tracy. I am also blessed with two grandchildren, Austin (5) and Savannah (3). My BA is in Language Arts, and my MS is in Elementary Education. Both degrees were earned from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. I have taught first, second, third, and fourth grades. I am an active member of Westview Baptist Church on East Brainerd Road. I am on the Missions Team, an Awana teacher, and an Upward cheerleading coach. This year we decided to spend our mission trip time working in Chattanooga. We worked with the East Ridge community tutoring children at the community center. We also worked with an inner city Vacation Bible School. What a blessing to see so many different cultures come together. I was so blessed by these children and ministry teams during this week. Please feel free to ask about my experience with the children. There is no greater reward in life than working with children. I am sure that God has placed me where I can best serve.

Mission
My mission for this class is to give each student a foundation on which to build a lifelong love of learning. Each student should feel safe and cared for each day and look forward to the next day at school. Each child should leave third grade with good character, and a healthy longing to learn new things.
