Parents,
Check your child's folder each night for their reader, homework, and
communication from me. Homework will be assigned Tuesday and
Thursday nights.

"Small Group" readers and reading logs will still be sent home each day and
will need to be read at least three times to someone at home. The logs should
be signed by a parent.

Homework (and incomplete class assignments) will need to be completed,
and returned the following day. Students are given plenty of time in class
each day to complete assignments. If your child is consistently bringing home
incomplete papers, please address his/her work habits and help him/her see
the need to be a responsible worker in the classroom. If the problem
persists, please call me for a conference. I will be happy to meet with you
in person or talk with you on the phone, whichever is best for you.
Please help your child master any concepts with which he/she is
struggling. Everyday builds on the previous day. Establishing a solid
foundation is essential for positive academic growth and building positive
self-esteem.
Thank you for helping your child learn responsibility this year in doing
homework assignments in a neat and timely fashion.
