If I wish for my child to see the counselor, how do I go about this?

Please feel free to call me at school anytime(476-8246)or you may

If my child receives counseling, how can I know what is going on?

A notice of counseling form will be sent home for a parent to sign if a child
is going to receive counseling on a regular basis. A key element of the
counselor-student relationship is confidentiality. I will, however, be glad
to share general progress of the counseling sessions and any pertinent
information I feel I can share without breaking the confidentiality of the
relationship.

If I feel my child needs professional counseling, how can the counselor help?

I will be happy to give you names of professional counselors who work with
children and assist you with making appointments, if necessary. Cleveland
City Schools also now has a Learning Support Specialist who coordinates and
helps families to gain access to counseling and other services outside the
school system. Please contact me if I can help with this.
