Each 9 week grades are given according to conduct
I always give AT LEAST 1 verbal warning before a time out (UNLESS severity
of offense warrants more severe consequence)
0 and 1 time out = Satisfactory or S (0-1 not wearing tennis shoes)
2 time outs = Needs Improvement or N (a discipline note is sent home)(2
times not wearing tennis shoes)
3 time outs = Unsatisfactory or U (a phone call to parents or note sent home)
(3 times not wearing tennis shoes)
4 time outs or more will see principal(s) and futher punishment will be
decided by principal(s)
(Wear or bring those tennis shoes to participate)
2nd 9 weeks:
Mondays: Conatser, Peterson, Williams, Stephenson, McGregor
Tuesdays: Essslinger, Smotherman, Mathis, Anderson, Hagar,
Davis
Wednesdays and Fridays: Cathey, O'Neal, Pfeffer, Christol, Keen, Lowe
Thursdays: Pope, Maxwell, Walz, Thompson, Beal, Suttles
From time to time the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders may have graphs or questions
to answer. These may be done at school and handed in any time during the
week. These items are not graded but will be factored into the S, N or U
grade that is given at the end of the 9 week grading period.
TENNIS SHOES ARE REQUIRED for Physical Education participation. As the
classroom teacher requires pencils to write with, Physical Education
class requires proper footwear to move the body SAFELY. Not wearing tennis
shoes will lower the students grade because they will not be allowed to
participate (SAFETY)
It is up to the Physical Education teacher as to whether the child is
allowed to participate without required shoes. For example, the climbing
wall requires tennis shoes, as well as tag games and soccer skills for
examples.
The activity may positively require tennis shoes.
If the student can not participate with the class an alternate activity will
be given such as tossing a ball to self. If buying tennis shoes is a
hardship, please let ME, Mrs. Trice know. Thank you for your cooperation in
keeping your Child SAFE and activie.
