Wow! I can't believe the year is half over already. Now that we are in the
3rd nine weeks, I will push more than ever to make sure your child is
prepared for fourth grade. We will kick it in high gear to get all of our
material covered for TCAP tests as well.
Make sure that you are working with your child on MEMORIZING the
multiplication facts. They will not be successful in Math if they are
counting on their fingers to multiply. This is a skill that will build
through the rest of their academic years. It is VITAL that they know these
forwards and backwards. They should know 0's thru 5's by now.
We will also begin to work on writing in cursive. We will have learned all
our letters in a couple of weeks, and then we will start writting in cursive
in our subject areas.
