The State Department of Education has mandated a benchmark test in various
subjects to be given three times each year to monitor student progress. The
first test administration was given in October with other testing to be
conducted in December and February. These tests measure objectives and
standards that will be covered on the state achievement test in April. The
tests are lengthy and test perserverance as well as skill mastery. Please
encourage your child to give his/her best effort on each test and prepare
accordingly for these valuable assessments.
