What can I do to help my child in math?

You can use everyday situations to encourage math skills. Telling time,
counting money or using common household items to encourage basic counting
skills are excellent ways to help your child. You can also teach basic
addition and subtraction skills using common household items.

How can I help my child to improve their reading ability?

You can have your child read to you and then ask them questions about what
they have read. Another good idea would be for you to read to your child
and then ask them to answer questions about what you have read to them. A
fun activity for children is to have them help you in the kitchen. They can
practice reading by reading you the directions on the boxes of items you are
preparing. They may have to have your help but this will be a good learning
experience for them. Please encourage your child to read!
