I grew up and went to school in McKenzie,TN. I attended Bethel College and
finally graduated in 1994 with a BS in education and a minor in K-12 art.
I married my husband James Terrell and we had our three children;
Elizabeth,Emily,and Ethan while I was still attending college. It was a
challenge to say the least. In 2004 I went back to school and earned my
masters degree in education administration. I have been teaching at Gleason
School since 1995. I've been in kindergarten all but one year, when I taught
1st grade. I've loved working with small children. I think I learn as much or
more from them as they do from me.
My husband and I own a small farm outside of town. We raise cattle, one
donkey named Jack, four cats, a bunch of chickens,and a dog. I love to go
out and help James around the farm. I may not be the best helper, but I try!
I love to draw and paint with watercolor and acrylics. Unfortunately, I've
been too busy since having my kids, I don't paint much any more. The kids
stay busy with sports and club activities, so I am always driving them
somewhere.
Our mission is to make kindergarten a fun learning experience. Kindergarten
is a place where we learn and play and work together to make successful
students and good friends.
