About The Teacher
I would like to welcome everyone to my third grade class website! 3rd grade is a wonderful age to each and I love it! I am excited about working with your child during this important school year. I grew up in Lexington, Tennessee and graduated from high school there in 1981. I attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville for four years and graduated with a B.S. in Home Economics in 1985. From there I went to work for Macy's Department stores in Atlanta, Georgia for two years as a department manager and assistant buyer for ladies' sportswear. Later in life, I decided to go back to school and obtained my Tennessee teaching license from Lambuth College in Jackson, Tennessee in 1990. I am married to Mitch Belew from the Stafford Store area of Greenfield and we have three children: Maggie, Falcon, and Calee. They keep me extremely busy! In my spare time I enjoy going to antique auctions and coaching competitive baton twirling. I am also the Greenfield High School Cheerleader and Jackettes sponsor, so you will see me at all the ball games!
