1. Bellwork: MUG Shots.

2. Students will have time to work on this week's spelling and vocabulary
assignment.  This is a new format, so please be sure that the work is
completed as assigned!

3. E.Q.: What is a comma, and what are the rules for using it?  Students will
complete the last page of the comma packet and answers will be checked in class.

4. Students will also work to complete a study guide for their test on commas,
infinitives, and appositives which will be on Friday.

**HOMEWORK: 
1. SPELLING AND VOCABULARY ASSIGNMENT.

2. COMPLETE STUDY GUIDE IF YOU DID NOT FINISH IN CLASS.

2. GET PROGRESS REPORT SIGNED FOR EXTRA CREDIT!!

1. Bellwork: SSR time.

2. E.Q.: What is media, and how do we use it in our everyday lives?  Students
will take notes on both types of media and the items included in each media
category.

3. Students will complete a compare and contrast graphic organizer for both
types of media.

*HOMEWORK: 
1. CONTINUE WORKING ON SPELLING AND VOCABULARY ASSIGNMENT.

2. STUDY FOR COMMAS, INFINITIVES, AND APPOSITIVES TEST ON FRIDAY!

3. GET LANG. ARTS PROGRESS REPORT SIGNED FOR EXTRA CREDIT!!

1. Bellwork: MUG Shots

2. E.Q.: How is a brochure/pamphlet an example of print media?  Students will
work in pairs to research a vacation destination of their choice. Then, they
will create a travel brochure illustrating these facts and writing persuasive
information for interested travelers.  These will be displayed in the room.

*HOMEWORK: 
1. CONTINUE WORKING ON SPELLING AND VOCABULARY ASSIGNMENT. 

2. GET LANG. ARTS PROGRESS REPORT SIGNED FOR EXTRA CREDIT!!

1. Bellwork: MUG Shots.

2. E.Q.: What can I expect to see on Friday's test on appositives,
infinitives, and commas?  Students will participate in a review game to
prepare them for the grammar test.

*HOMEWORK: 
1. MAKE SURE SPELLING AND VOCABULARY ASSIGNMENT IS COMPLETE.

2. STUDY FOR SPELLING TEST AND GRAMMAR TEST. 

3. GET LANG. ARTS PROGRESS REPORT SIGNED FOR EXTRA CREDIT-LAST CHANCE!!

1. Bellwork: SSR time.

2. All bellwork and spelling assignments will be turned in for a weekly grade.
Agendas will also be checked for a weekly participation grade.

3. Spelling assignment will be checked in class and students will take their
spelling/vocabulary test.

4. Students will take their grammar test.

5. Any remaining classtime will be spent reading and finishing the brochure
assignment from Wednesday.
