Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The FAFSA is arguably the most important document to complete in
order to secure financial aid not only from the Federal
Government, but many universities and scholarship organizations
require completion of the FAFSA as well. The FAFSA is the
application for any of Tennessee's lottery-based scholarships.
It is crucial to understand that this is a FREE application for
student aid and please, do not pay anyone to complete the form
for you.

The FAFSA uses the income tax information for the student's
parents or guardians as well as the student's income tax
information if they are employed.

FAFSA4caster

While the actual FAFSA form cannot be completed until after
January 1 of the student's senior year, the FAFSA4caster will
provide an estimated projection of financial assistance available
to the student for post-secondary education opportunities. It's
a good place to start when trying to plan for the expense of
higher education.
