About The Teacher Label:
About The Teacher
I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Tammy McMackin and I am in my 18th year of teaching. I taught 4 years at Medina Elementary in grades 4th thru 8th. I then transferred to Dyer Elementary where I taught Kindergarten for 4 years. Trying to get closer to home, I moved to Rutherford Elementary and taught Kindergarten for 4 years and 3rd grade for 2 years. Finally, the day came that I was ready to teach at Kenton School. This is my forth year of teaching Kindergarten at Kenton and I can truly say that I am happy and I am home. I graduated in 1991 from UT Martin with a degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. In 1995, I completed my master's degree in Supervision and Administration from Trevecca Nazerene College, Nashville, TN. Then, went on to get my masters+30 in Elementary Education from Cumberland University, Lebonon, TN. I have 3 wonderful boys who are my entire life. We spend a lot of our time at the baseball and football fields and in the gym for basketball games. We love to swim, ride 4-wheelers, and see new places. It doesn't matter what we do as long as we are spending time together as a family. We have two dogs. Skruffy stays indoors with us and Callie (st. bernard) stays outside. Your child is very important to me and I want this to be a fantastic year of learning!
Mission Label:
Mission
My mission is for all my students to love school and love learning. I want them to be eager to learn and gain knowledge. Most of all, learning is FUN and will be in Ms. Tammy's class!
