Week of January 4-8, 2010
Christmas Break is December 19, 2009 - January 3, 2010.
December 18th is a 1/2 day. Dismissal for students is 11:30am.
3rd Language - We will be doing the country writing prompt on Tuesday, so Monday we will do a practice prompt. On Wednesday, we will be starting Unit 4 on pronouns. We will discuss pronouns, subject pronouns, and object pronouns this week.
3rd Reading - We will be starting Book 3 in SPIRE. The first unit is called "so, he, fly" and talks about exceptional vowel sounds. We will also be reading a story from our reading book called "Cock-A-Doodle-Doo!" and focusing on clarifying questions.
3rd Spelling - NEW RED WORDS: gone, year, climb, clothes, they
- REVIEW RED WORDS: high, number, brought, behind, explain
5th Gifted - We will be starting our blueprints today. We will also be doing some Riddles.
3rd-4th Gifted - We will begin with some riddles. We will be starting a project on the Winter Olympics!
