I am a graduate of MTSU. I received my B.S. in 1973 in Elementary Education
and my M.Ed. in 1976 in Special Education. I have taught in Wilson County
for thirty-two years. This is my sixteenth year at Lakeview.
Mr. Guin works for GE Medical Systems. Our daughter, Carol, graduated in May
from Lipscomb University. She is a tax accountant with Faulkner Mackie &
Cochran and lives in Green Hills.
My family attends Old Hickory Church of Christ where we are very active
members.
I love to cook, and even collect recipe books. I also love to work in my
yard and am a perennial gardener. Some of my favorite things to do are
travel and eat in new restaurants.
I am very excited about teaching first grade again this year. I
want to instill in my students a love for reading. That's a hard task in
these days of computer games and TV.
