I have been teaching at Lakeview for 24 years. Before that I taught special
education in the Lebanon City System for 3 years, so I currently have 27
years experience in teaching.
Before teaching school I was the Safety director at the American Red Cross.
I taught water safety courses and first aid courses. I am still very
interested in those areas.
I have also worked as a recreation specialist for developmently challeneged
people at a residential facility. I was very involved in the Special
Olympics during those years and volunteered at events often.
I am married and have two daughters. Both of my girls are Lakeview alumni
and we remember fondly their years at our wonderful school. My older
daughter is now 31, married and teaching in the Learning Center at Stoner
Creek Elementary and
has two beautiful daughters. My younger daughter is 28, married with two
beautiful daughters and a wonderful boy!. I am a very proud Grandmother
and spend as much time with them as I can.
My husband is a computer engineer and my personal high tech helper, since I
am not high tech at all! We have lived in the comunity for 31 years and love
it. We spend a lot of time on the lake in the summer.
My mission is to provide every child with developmentally appropriate skill
practice and instill in them a love of movement that will carry over into
adulthood so that they can be physically active and healthy individuals.
