I have been teaching first grade at Lakeview for 16 years and enjoy
it very much! Every day brings something new in the classroom.
I received my Elementary Ed. degree at Belmont University and my
Master's degree at MTSU. Our family enjoys swimming,the Smoky
Mountains and our dogs: Snoopy, Charlie Brown, and Lucy, all of which were
rescued.
I feel very fortunate to teach at Lakeview and have gotten to know many
wonderful parents. Lakeview was also the school my brother and I attended
from the first through sixth grades.
My mission for our class in to instill a LOVE of reading in your child.
Reading is incorporated into EVERY subject area. Every child should be
immersed in good reading materials at home and at school and should see
family members reading often. Make reading for fun a top priority in
your home! Try your very best to be consistent in this.
