When will I know my child's progress.

Progress reports are sent home in the middle of the nine week 
grading period.
Report cards are sent home every nine weeks.

Can I e-mail you at school.

Yes, I check my e-mail often through out the school day.

What time does our class eat lunch.

Our lunch time is 11:20 - 11:50.  Please feel free to join your 
child for 
lunch anytime. Please sign in at the office and meet us at the 
cafeteria 
doors or in the front lobby.

May my child bring a water bottle.

Yes, providing it is not a distraction for your child or other 
children. If 
it becomes a distraction, I will ask your child not to bring 
one.  I ask 
that your child bring a bottle that has a pop top to avoid spills.

How often is homework.

Homework is giving Monday through Thursday. It should take no 
longer than
30 minutes to complete. If it is taking longer than that, please 
let me know.
Having a routine for homework is very help to children.

How can I help my child.

Check homework everyday. Have your child make corrections when 
they have 
mistakes. Reading daily with your child will encourage 
independent reading.
Read, read, read, it will make a difference.

Do you have Accelerated Reader program in your class.

Yes, I do. I give the children as many opportunities as possible 
through out
the day to take test.  They may also take test in the computer 
lab on 
Thursdays.

What are your requirements for Accelerated Reading test.

The children are not required to take a certain number of test at 
the 
beginning of the year. After Christmas, I would like to see every 
child
taking and passing atleast one A.R. test per week.
