About The Teacher

I am married to Michael Smith.  We have two beautiful daughters, Alaina and Adeline.  We also have 2 
dogs (Daisy and Harley) and 1 cat (Howie).     I graduated from Cumberland University in 2001, with my 
B.S. in Elementary Education.  I am currently working on my Masters in Leadership Ed, and anticipate 
being finished in the summer.   I began my teaching career at Byars Dowdy in 2nd grade.  After 5 years 
in 2nd grade, I chose to move to 4th grade.  This will be my 4th year in 4th grade!   4th grade was my 
most favorite grade as a student.  I look forward to working with a new set of students, building 
relationships, and watching them excel!
