The Christmas season is approaching quickly. Our party will be the last day of school before the break. It will be 8:00 until 10:00. Boys bring boys' gifts. Girls bring girls' gifts. Please limit the gift to under $5.00. Be sure and send something that a child should be happy to receive. Most parents do a great job with this, but I have seen some very disappointed children through the years. We can't always please everyone, but we can try. Would your child be happy receiving this gift? I am just trying to give some helpful advice. I hope your family has a very special time during the holiday break. Make a memory that will last a lifetime. As I get older, I realize that the most important things that I have, are the memories that I have with my family. May it be a special time for you. Please read your Monday newsletter each week. It usually has important happenings that you need to know about. We are in full swing. Every student should have a set of flashcards. If not, please let me know. Students should be practicing flashcards every night. I will be giving addition fact tests. All children should be reading A.R. books on their level. Every student has taken the STAR test to enable them to make wise selections of books to read. Please watch the A.R. Project sheet in the Parent Folder. The percentage of the goal should be going up each week. At the end of the nine weeks, students should have 100% of their goal. Any other questions that you might have can probably be answered by reading "What On Earth is A.R.?" This is found in the Parent Folder immediately after the A.R. Project sheet. One question that I was asked the other day, "Should my child read every night?" The answer is a big "YES". Let's build the foundation for a lifetime of success. We can do it as we work together as a team: your child, you, and his/her teachers. I really do want to see that happen.
Or, would you like to view and optionally restore one of these previous versions?
