Hello, I am Burgess Grooms and I teach 5th Grade Science and Social Studies at Castle Heights Upper
Elementary School. I am married to Joellen Grooms and we have three children, a daughter age 10,
two boys ages 2 and 1.
I like to golf, work outside, play with my children and pets, and work in my shop. I enjoy
spending time with my wife and children. We love to go camping, grill out, swim, shop, take trips,
and NASCAR.
This year I am team teaching with Mrs. Dodson, Mrs. Hudson, and Mrs. Thompson. I am very
excited about this year and look foreward to working with you and your child this year. I can be
reached by e-mail groomsb@k12.tn.net, note to school, or phone message. I will be signing agenda
books and writing notes in the agenda book as needed. If the need arises I will call(and return calls)
to discuss any problem(s) with parents or to set up a conference. I will be sending take home folders
every week for parents to look at and sign. Please be sure that you sign your child's agenda book
every night. We are going to have a very fun and educational time in our class.
